PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage apparatus in which tight closure when a base and a cover are sealed is improved, and a manufacturing method of the storage apparatus. SOLUTION: A disk enclosure of a hard disk drive has a base 120 housing a disk, a top cover 130 covering a space 124 in its base, and a seal tape 160 sealing the peripheral edge of the cover 130. The base 120 has a coating part 127a coated with the seal tape 160 at its outer edge 127 out of the coating parts 127a, a sealed part 127b bonded to the seal tape 160 is slanted so that the height of the outer edge is higher than the height of the inner edge.
