PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide lock mechanism to work for a slide seat for automobile structured so that a seat can be returned backward in the condition the slide lock mechanism is in unlocked condition, capable of locking with the fixed point returning of the seat, and even at the front stop position of the seat, capable of locking with the attitude restitution of the seat back. SOLUTION: A fixed point return memory mechanism to work for the slide seat for automobile includes a lock lever 3, a lock piece 2, and a pressure lever 4 to separate the lock piece 2, and is equipped with a hitching latch 10 to engage the lock lever 3 while the configuration is such that the slide lock mechanism can be unlocked due to forward tilting of a seat back and a lock-off plate 11 to separate the hitching latch 10 from the lock lever 3, while the slide lock mechanism to work for the slide seat includes a lock latch 12 to mesh with the hitching latch 10 through gear cogs 10c and 12b and a lock-on plate 13 to separate the hitching latch from the lock lever 3, and when the lock latch 12 slips off from the lock-on plate 13, engages the lock lever 3 by the hitching latch 10.
