PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport device configured so that an object supporting table 3 installed on a runner 1 for transportation is shoved up by a cam rail 40 laid in a specific division on a transport path to be changed over to the elevated position, capable of enhancing the safety by heightening the holding function of the table 3 in the elevated position. SOLUTION: On the side with the runner 1 for transportation of the cross link mechanism 12 supporting the object supporting table 3 in such a way as capable of rising and falling, a part to be engaged 33 is provided to make reciprocation approximately in the horizontal direction in association with the rising and falling motions of the cross link mechanism 12, and an engaging piece 34 for locking is provided to be automatically engaged with the part to be engaged 33 when the supporting table 3 is elevated to the specified position, and at the termination of the specific division, an unlocking cam 41 is provided to change over the engaging piece 34 for locking to the unlocking attitude in association with running of a runner 1 for transportation.
