PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an independent tank supporting structure of a ship capable of preventing any jumping phenomenon of an independent tank installed between an exposed deck and an inner bottom plate of a double bottom of a tanker to transport overheated chemical product which occurs when the chemical product is low-temperature or the independent tank is empty, and unnecessary for adjustment of a space between the exposed deck and the independent tank even after the ship is built. SOLUTION: The independent tank supporting structure comprises a pair of independent tank projecting pieces provided in a vicinity of center lower part of a bow side wall and a stern side wall of an independent tank placed on a large number of bottom supporting bodies, or a pair of independent tank projecting pieces provided in a vicinity of right and left lower parts symmetric to each other with respect to the center line of the bow side wall, a rope to be wound between the independent tank projecting pieces and double bottom inner bottom plate projecting pieces provided on the inner bottom plate of the double bottom, and a tension adjuster interposed in the rope. The pressure is applied to the independent tank by connecting the bow side wall, the stern side wall, and the double bottom inner bottom plate to each other with a predetermined tension.
