PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine capable of arousing a player's expectation by generating a similar situation to the situation winning a special prize even if the result of an internal lottery is failure. SOLUTION: The slot machine comprises a stop control means 31 for executing the special stop control for displaying a chance pattern when the result of a lottery is failure, a shift determining means 31 for determining whether a shift condition for permitting the shift to a specific stop control period, during which the state of increased frequency to execute the specific stop control is continued over a plurality of rounds of game, is satisfied or not, and a specific stop control period managing means 31 for managing the number of times of execution of the specific stop control so that the specific stop control is executed till the number of times reaches a prescribed frequency, which is at least 2, if it is determined by the shift determining means 31 that the shift condition is satisfied and the game state is shifted to the specific stop control period.
