The device has a heater with a heating surface for heating a plate sealed to a container. Sealing areas (Va,Vb) are formed between the container and plate at respective contact surfaces (6a,6b) of the container. A sealing plate (5), which is heated by the heating surface, is formed for sealing the container with the plate at the two sealing areas at he same time.
