PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear actuator that prevents a magnet from being separated even if a moving body is driven under severe conditions, that causes no abnormal noise, no deterioration of performance, and that prevents the separated magnet from contacting stacked cores to avoid damage to the moving body, and also provide a pump device and a compressor using the linear actuator. SOLUTION: The linear actuator 1 comprises outer yokes 4 that form a first space 6 and a second space 7 between the inner yokes 3 and themselves, and a movable body 5 having magnets 9 inside the spaces 6, 7. The outer yokes 4 and the inner yokes 3 are arranged in plural number in the circumferential direction. The moving body 5 is provided with magnets 9 each arranged between the inner yokes 3 and the outer yokes 4 and has magnet-holding portions 52 of a resin that each hold a magnet 9 with its both ends embedded, between adjacent magnets 9.
