PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for customization by contexts that perform customization in which information to be retrieved is selected based upon user's contexts when information is retrieved, and to provide a program and a storage medium. SOLUTION: The system for customization by contexts is provided with: a network constituted by connecting a plurality of users having similar contexts being selection histories of information that the users have selected; information lists 14, 15, and 16 which are generated by registering information selected by the users and possessed by the users; an information transmitting means 13 that each of the users has in order to transmit information registered in the information lists 14, 15, and 16 to other users through the network; and an information acquiring means 10 that each of the users has in order to receive the information transmitted by the information transmitting means 13 and register it in their information lists 14, 15, and 16.
