PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initialization controlling device for a stepping motor of an air-conditioner for a vehicle capable of certainly correcting the error between the current position of a rotary shaft which an air-conditioner ECU acknowledges and the actual current position of the rotary shaft. SOLUTION: The initialization controlling device for the stepping motor of the vehicle air-conditioner is equipped with a rotatable range restricting means to restrict the rotatable range of the rotary shaft and an air-conditioning controlling means to control the air-conditioner for vehicle, wherein the air-conditioning controlling means has a rotating angle controlling means to control the rotating angle of the rotary shaft, a storing means to store the reference position of the rotary shaft, and an elapsed time measuring means to measure the elapsed time from when the reference position of the rotary shaft was stored by the storing means, and when the elapsed time measured by the measuring means exceeds the specified time, the rotary shaft is continued rotating in the specified direction by the rotating angle controlling means, and the initializing operation is made whereby the position with the rotation of the rotary shaft restricted by the restricting means is stored as the reference position of the rotary shaft in the storing means.
