The invention relates to a transportable (movable) device and methods for the purification of contaminated or salt and/or brackish water by means of distillation methods and procedures that use solar energy with the objective of producing clean (drinking-) water. More in particular to methods relating to a transportable (movable) distillation device for the production of clean drinking-water that utilise solar energy that can be produced in a cost-effective, simple way, has a simple construction, is lightweight and transportable and can easily be stored in a small space when the device is not in operation.
