The system for fastening lorry wheels to wheel mountings comprises either nuts which fit on to threaded bolts on the mounting or bolts (6) which fit into threaded bores in it. The nuts or bolts have pentagonal or hexagonal heads (4) with concave sides (7) and rounded points (9). Independent claims are included for: (A) nuts and bolts as described above; and (B) use of the nuts or bolts to attach wheels to mountings.
