DEVICE FOR FASTENING FLOATING FRAGMENT OF THORAX IN PATIENTS WITH FRACTURED RIBS AND STERNUM

The device for fastening the floating fragment of the thorax in the patients with fractured ribs and sternum contains the flat element with the opening for the retainer screw. The flat element is designed as the rectangular steel band with two grooves on the left for attaching the edges of the left end of the band and the rectangular opening for the retainer screw. Above and below the rectangular opening, two round openings are made containing the plastic inserts for the ligatures. On the right, two oval openings made in the band also contain the plastic inserts for the ligatures.
