This invention relates to heat exchange units, mostly to furnace units with motion of the flows of combustion products from up to down, and can be used in power units as utilizer of hot exhaust gases. The pipe heat exchanger has bank of heat exchange pipes with hexahedron tips at the ends, those form at assemblage the pipe and inter-pipe cavities, from above it looks like a ring with inner window for possible flow of solid particles - the products of fuel combustion, the ends of the tip ends of the pipes are connected to each other by welding, and the inter-pipe planes are in outer contours of the bank of heat-exchange pipes of the heat exchanger closed by separate plates in shape of elongated hexahedrons that are tangent joining the pipes placed in pairs and connected by welding. At two sides with respect to vertical axis of heat exchanger the bank of heat exchange pipes has one free hexagon cell, to the edges of this one at one side nipples for inlet and outlet on inter-pipe heat carrier are welded, and the cells at opposite sides of the nipples are closed by plugs. This invention makes it possible to increase strength characteristics of the heat exchanger and to perform heat transfer without use of complicated structural solutions.
