PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate fitting which is excellent in workability and the stability of the fastening of an external wall plate, and also to provide an external wall construction structure using the same. SOLUTION: The substrate fitting is used when the external wall plate is fixed with a fastening fitting through a heat insulation material arranged at the front surface of the structural skeleton of a building. The substrate fitting has an opening for allowing a screw to pass therethrough at around the center, a planar abutting plate part which abuts on the rear surface of the fastening fitting, and first and second leg parts which are erected rearward from the abutting plate part.
