A shock absorber equipped with a buffer device is provided to prevent a buffer member or a cylinder from being deformed by disposing a support ring member between the buffer device and an inner circumference of the cylinder. A shock absorber equipped with a buffer device comprises a cylinder(1), a piston(2) and a piston rod(3) which linearly transfer in the cylinder, and a stopper(4) attached to an upper part of the piston to prevent the piston from colliding with an upper part of the cylinder. The buffer device is installed on the piston rod between the stopper and the upper part of the cylinder to reduce noise and vibration. The buffer device includes a buffer member(10) provided with a body(11) having a through hole for the piston rod and a wing part(13) arranged along an outer circumference of the body. The buffer device includes a support ring member(20) interposed between the buffer member and an inner circumference of the cylinder.
