Torque split transmission for motor vehicles

The transmission unit (1) for a vehicle with a combustion engine driving an input shaft (2) has several branches with at least one power shift transmission unit (3) and several gears to be selected. At least one of the branches is fitted with a hydrostatic control device (4) changing the direction of the output shaft (6) when the vehicle starts moving. The speed of revolution can be infinitely varied by the control device (4) during the starting period and with gears selected.
