Floating deep-water breakwater has set of floating sections in box shape installed along water area of port and arranged with working surface normally to incoming waves. The sections are not connected to each other but installed in chess order with gap one with respect to another in row at distance 2/3 of length of section, distance between the rows is equal to ? of length of the section. The lower part of the section is reinforced-concrete pontoon, and the upper part of the section placed on the pontoon is metal upper superstructure. The lower part of pontoon of the section is immersed to water by depth equal to double calculated height of wave, and the upper superstructure rises over sea level to height not smaller than the level of one calculated for that breakwater wave height.
