Method for diagnosing an embryonal tumor, especially a primitive neuroectodermal tumor, by (a) providing a cerebral tissue or fluid sample; (b) determining the concentration of at least two of the following proteins Q96c36; P42694; O60376; Q9h370; CAD 13067; Q9BS94 and Q8NBS9; (c) comparing the concentrations with corresponding standard values (SV) and (d) diagnosing a tumor if the measured value is above SV. An independent claim is included for a kit for determining at least two of the specified proteins that contains at least two specific antibodies.
