METHOD FOR DETECTING THE OBJECTS ON THE RAILROAD TRACK

The method of detecting the objects on the railroad track consists in that the objects on the rail surface are detected with the help of acoustic radiator and acoustic receiver, which are mounted on the opposite ends of all-welded section the rails. In this case, the acoustic radiator excites surface acoustic waves of Rayleigh in the material of the rail, acoustic receiver receives them, and according to the change of the amplitude of surface acoustic waves a decision is taken about the presence of an object on the surface.
