The proposed controlled recurrent phase changer can be used for controlling phase detectors in radio transmitting and receiving devices and in digital automatic devices for controlling phase and frequency of signals. The operation of the phase changer is based on the numerical solution of the corresponding differential equation. The phase changer is distinctive by that the phase shift of the input signal of the phase changer is generated as a result of a sequence of operations based on presenting the response of the phase changer by an intermediate signal. The intermediate signal is generated by adding its preceding value, which is stored in a memory unit, to the product of multiplying the difference of the input signal of the phase changer and the preceding value of the intermediate signal by the ratio of the sampling interval to the time constant of the phase changer. The output signal of the phase changer is determined as the difference of the double preceding value of the intermediate signal and the value of the input signal of the phase changer. The proposed algorithm for the realization of the phase changer increases the noise immunity of the phase changer. The phase changer is distinctive by its enhanced accuracy, simplicity of design, reliability, speed of response, and noise immunity.
