The silencer (1) has housing (2) with an absorption chamber, which is filled with an effective absorption material for absorbing airborne sound. A pass pipe (3) exhaust leading in the operation of the silence is guided through the housing. A blind tube (10) is attached to the transit pipe laterally at one end and is closed at the other end.
