The proposed explosion-proof transformer substation contains a high-voltage disconnector, a transformer, a circuit breaker with a unit for protecting the mains against short circuit currents and earth leakage currents, a ground grid, and additionally, the second circuit breaker with a unit for protecting the mains against short circuit currents and earth leakage currents and the second ground grid. The protecting unit of the second circuit breaker is connected to the first ground grid via the normally closed contacts of the first circuit breaker and via the circuit that is connected in parallel to the said normally closed contact and contains the normally open contact of the first circuit breaker and the normally closed contact of the second circuit breaker, which are connected in series, and is connected to the second ground grid via the normally open contact of the first circuit breaker and the normally closed contact of the second circuit breaker, which are connected in series.
