A retaining wall in which drainage is facilitated and a construction method thereof are provided to facilitate drainage by integrally installing the retaining wall to a slope. A retaining wall in which drainage is facilitated is composed of a frame(100) installed at a box type continued along a slope and composed of a plurality of metal members, a lower drain layer(200) in which a drainer(600) having permeability is filled in a box(110), a retaining wall layer(400) formed by filling concrete or shotcrete in the frame, a drain hole(410) discharging the water of the lower drain layer to outside, and a vertical drain layer in which the drainer having permeability is filled.
