PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new prophylactic and/or therapeutic drug for headache, which is effective in patients who cannot get sufficient results by taking existing therapeutic drugs for headache. SOLUTION: Administration of a thyroid hormone at a dose lower than that prescribed for hypothyroidism effectively can relieve headache by shortening the time to onset of actions of the existing drugs or reducing the occurrence of, eliminating, etc., headache attacks in patients who cannot achieve sufficient results by taking the existing therapeutic drugs for headache. When combined with the use of the existing prophylactic and/or therapeutic drug for headache, the administration of the thyroid hormone can reduce doses of the existing drugs.
