Method for obtaining field strength information

An input signal (Vin) proportional to the amplitude of received electromagnetic signal, is applied to an operational amplifier (V1). The input resistance (RI) of the amplifier is varied until the output voltage (UOUT) of the amplifier lies within a specified voltage. The field strength of the electromagnetic signal is determined by comparing the varied resistance with stored resistance. An Independent claim is also included for circuit arrangement for determining the field strength of an electromagnetic signal.
