The invention relates to the biotechnology and can be used in biology, medicine, food industry, concerns obtaining new strain of heterothallic fungus - producer of licopin Blakeslea trispora LK1(+) and LK1(-), which is deposited in the depositary of the Institute of microbiology and virology of Ukraine under the number of IMB F-100041. The strain synthesizes 2.9-3.6 % of licopin in the nutrient medium of natural origin without stimulator of carotinegenesis , content of lisopin is of 90-96 % of the amount of carotinoides .
