A profilometer for surface control of the impression cylinders is used in the printing industry, namely, as control equipment for cylinders of gravure printing and anilox rolls. The profilometer for surface control of the impression cylinders contains optical head with the means of transportation relative to the surface of the impression cylinder and a computer, in which optical head includes a low-coherent radiation source, a collimator-expander of beam, a light-separator, a cylindrical supporting mirror with the radius of curvature close to a radius of the impression cylinder, the cylindrical lenses in the supporting and measuring channels, an objective and a digital camera with a photo-matrix. Computer connected with the digital camera and the drive of supporting mirror, after the maximum of contrast of interference fringes in each pixel of photo-matrix in the range of displacement of supporting mirror calculates the depth of the elements of the section of cylinder surface represented for each pixel of the photo-matrix and it restores the three-dimensional relief of cells for transfer of paint. The invention allows to increase the operating field of the profilometer and the speed of data collection about the relief of the surface of impression cylinders.
