An attachment 5 for a tyre bead breaker consists of a fulcrum arm with a T-piece at one end, which locates on a blade to push and hold into position the blade 4 between the rim and tyre bead. A hydraulic pump 1 activates a hydraulic ram 2 which pushes against a wheel rim, forcing a blade 3 to pull the tyre bead from the wheel rim. The attachment 5 pushes the blade 4 up between the rim and tyre bead and holds it there with leverage, such that when the ram pushes the blade 4 it holds it in position. |
