FIELD: engineering industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: inventions refer to engineering industry, and are used namely for manufacturing pistons of diesel engine operating under severe operation conditions. Piston is made of separate parts with attachment surfaces that are located along the appropriate circles and pre-heated up to temperature that provides formation of metallurgical connection between attached surfaces. After attachment surfaces are heated, they are brought into contact with each other and turn a little relative to each other, thanks to which there obtained is permanent metallurgical welded connection formed at the interface between connected attachment surfaces. Piston has two walls that are located at a distance from each other in radial direction and welded simultaneously. Attachment surfaces of the piston parts can lie in one or various planes. After they are connected to each other and while they are still in a hot condition, the above piston parts can be moved in various directions relative to each other in order to provide the appropriate decrease of thickness of its walls in welded connection. ^ EFFECT: improving strong connection of piston parts, which has structural integrity. ^ 31 cl, 10 dwg |
