#CMT# #/CMT# The unit e.g. letter ballot (10), has two symmetrical encryption codes (14) i.e. barcodes, printed on all surfaces of the ballot with respect to the center of the surfaces, where the letter ballot is a physical letter ballot made of paper. The encryption codes represent information relative to vote, and are read and interpreted by an electronic code reading device i.e. optical mark recognition (OMR) device. A reference (16) relative to a polling station is provided on the center of each surface. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a voting method. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Voting unit e.g. ballot envelope and letter ballot (all claimed), for use during election. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The codes are printed on all surfaces of the ballot with respect to the center of the surfaces, thus avoiding the selection of same ballot, even when the ballot is turned, and hence reducing the time required during counting of the vote. The encryption codes are not read and interpreted by a person. The code reading device gives a signification to the codes, so as to automate and simplify certain phases of voting, while assuring confidentiality of the vote. The ballot is made of paper, thus conserving traditional characters of the vote. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a front view of a letter ballot. 10 : Letter ballot 12 : Disclosure 14 : Symmetrical encryption codes 16 : Reference 18 : Cancellation. |
