A method to transport and clean roots includes the distribution and simultaneous dividing a root and tuber heap into two separate flows prior to the delivery onto cleaning working elements. A working branch of a delivery conveyer consists of two parts of various lengths, which have inclines under the angles and in longitudinal and vertical plane. Above the short part of the branch two driving distributors of the heap, arranged perpendicularly with a gap, which are formed by console cylindrical rods, move counter-rotationally, to the side surfaces of which two finger cleaning slopes are brought.
