A mask, designed to cover the wearer's nose and mouth and having a semi-supple edge for an improved seal, a tube for delivering a breathable gas mixture from a source, and inlet and outlet valves, incorporates a thin inner filter to let the gas through but not contamination. The mask (2), designed to cover the wearer's nose and mouth and having a semi-supple edge (6) for an improved seal, a tube (3) for delivering a breathable gas mixture from a source (5), and inlet and outlet valves (8, 9), incorporates a thin inner filter (4) to let the gas through but not contamination. The filter is easily replaceable by the user and consists of one section (4a) of a filtering material and a second section (4b) of a supple sealing material in contact with the inner part of the lip. It can have a very fine and supple edge that passes over the mask's seal lip, and has a cord (7) to facilitate removal. The filter is supplied in a pack with ready-to-use disinfectant wipes. |
