The invention concerns the field of ecology. A method for the purification of galvanic effluents involves treatment thereof with electric discharges at a voltage between 5 and 20 kV, being passed through the layer of metallic charge. The invention allows to efficiently purify galvanic effluents with a high degree of contamination, in particular, with the concentration of ions of heavy metals between 1 and 5 g/l.
