The cutting device (1) for modelling a bush (50) comprises a cutting cage unit (2) which includes a cutting cage with a symmetrically rotating surface relatively to the cage center line and cutting components arranged along the rotating surface. A drive (9) is provided for rotation of the cage around its center line. A cutting edge is provided externally along the rotating surface for cutting cooperation with the cutting components. A support frame (5) is provided on which three cutting cage units (2a,2b,2c) are fitted. The support frame is suspended by means of a bar (26) on a drive unit (18). This drive unit rotates (W) the bar, support frame and cutting cage units around the rotary center line. This rotary center line can be manipulated so that it coincides with the vertical center line of the bush to be modelled. The main frame comprises a portal construction supported by wheels (19) fitted in forks (20).
