A suction nozzle of a fan has inlet box with inlet cone and guide apparatus placed in it. The guide apparatus is arranged as two rotary hatches with vertical axes of rotation coinciding with the side walls of the branch pipe. At that, the heights h of both hatches comprise 0.6 - 0.8 of the height H of the branch pipe.
