<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily conduct alarm processing of the alarm processing unit for a transmitter by converting alarm data received via each transmission line interface into common format alarm data through the referencing of a mapping table, storing the common format alarm data and conducting the alarm processing based on the stored common format alarm data. SOLUTION: A transmitter 50 contains transmission line interfaces 60A-60N having fault detection circuits 62A-62N that detect various faults and provide an output of alarm data and sending data through transmission lines 64A-64N. Upon the receipt of the alarm data from the transmission line interfaces 60A-60N, a format conversion means 54 of the alarm processing unit 52 reads a corresponding mapping table from a 1st storage means 56, converts the alarm data into common format alarm data, which are stored in a 2nd storage means 58. It is not required to conduct alarm processing for the transmission line interfaces 60A-60N by using the common format alarm data.</p> |
