[PROBLEMS] To provide a DC motor of which the axial size can be reduced without deteriorating the holding strength and durability of the rotor. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] This DC motor comprises a stator (2) on which coils (4) are disposed, a rotor (8) which is so arranged as to be opposite to the inner periphery of the stator (2) and has permanent magnet poles (9) and a pipe (11) at its one end, an electric current applying part (19) which is provided at the other end of the rotor (8) and communicates the current supplied from a power source to the coils (4) of the stator (2), a sleeve bearing (6) holding the rotor (8), and a ball bearing (7) holding the rotor (8) and having a load-carrying capacity larger than that of the sleeve bearing (6). The pipe (11) holds the ball bearing (7) and directly contacts with the ball bearing (7).
