A furnace particularly for heat treatments of glass sheets (12), comprising a longitudinally-elongated chamber which contains roller conveyor elements (11) for the glass sheets (12). The furnace comprises irradiation-heating elements (13, 14) combined with first (18) and second (24) elements for heating by forced air convection in which the a ir temperature is controlled by adjusting its circulation rate, the elements being located respectively above and below the conveyor element s (11) and therefore above and below the sheets (12) being treated.
