PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transfer efficiency of image data of an inspection object without deteriorating inspection accuracy.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an image formation unit for forming an image on paper (S1), an image reading unit for reading the paper to generate image data of an inspection object (S2), a first memory, a multiple processing unit for executing inspection processing of an image in parallel with other processing by using image data of the inspection object stored in the first memory (S1, S7), a transfer control unit for transferring image data from a reception buffer to the first memory after temporarily storing the image data of the inspection object in the reception buffer (S6), and an image processing unit. In the case that the free size of the reception buffer detected by the transfer control unit is equal to or less than a threshold (S3; Y), the image processing unit performs compression processing of the image data of the inspection object (S5), and the transfer control unit transfers the image data to the first memory via the reception buffer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
