The circular curling rink markings for the game of curling on an ice surface, the markings of the requisite colors being defined by an outer annulus having an outer diameter of 12 feet, an intermediate annulus having an outer diameter of 8 feet, an inner annulus having an outer diameter of 4 feet and an innermost circle, are formed by supplying in rolled form four elongate strip s of paper with parallel side edges and a common length. The strips are laid side by si de and covered by additional ice and each of the strips has printed thereon in the requisite colors a part of the markings such that, when the strips are laid on the ice surface side by side with a side edge of each strip abutting a respective side edge of a next adjacent strip, the strips together form the markings.
