The module has 68 points PCMCIA connector (4) placed at one of its ends for allowing a connection of the module on a host, and a chip card reader (7) placed at an opposite end of the module. The connector and reader are arranged such that a chip card (1) is inserted in the reader, and assembly formed of the reader and the card is then inserted in the host, so that the card is guided and maintained in position by the reader.
