To shape a laminated board (1) into the body of furniture, a small rectangular groove (5) is cut through the board from the inner side (4) where the corner is required, as far as the outer cladding (3) of plastics or veneer at the outer side (2). A thermoplastic material is applied to the base (15) of the groove, over a part of its height, to bond the bottom edges of the board at the sides of the groove, together with the outer cladding. The rectangular groove is cut into a V-shape, for bending to form the corner, leaving the plastic material in place at the corner apex. |
