PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive elastic body composition which can give the sufficient film-formability, electroconductivity and elasticity (mechanical strengths) in a current collector, for example, an electrical double layer capacitor, and can give the good steam-barrier property and heat resistance. SOLUTION: The conductive elastic body composition, which is applicable to a current collector of an electrical double layer capacitor, is formed into a film by using as a polymer a material containing at least a styrene/isobutylene block copolymer, and by hardening the electroconductive mixture material which is obtained by adding a nonmetallic conducting agent to the polymer. When the above polymer contains a styrene/isobutylene block copolymer and a styrene/ethylene copolymer, a ratio of parts by weight of the styrene/isobutylene block copolymer/(the styrene/ethylene copolymer) is so adjusted as to be in the range of 90/10 to 30/70.
