PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile apparatus capable of improving operability of facsimile transmission, and solving problems of waste of paper resources and deterioration in image quality of transmitted/received images. SOLUTION: This digital composite machine 1 comprises a facsimile communication unit 105 for performing facsimile communication of image data via a public telephone line X, a memory unit 107 used as a region of storing received image data, an identification information providing unit 108 for providing identification information for each item of received image data, and an identification information determining unit 109 for receiving an instruction of the identification information. Upon receiving the instruction of the identification information, the unit 105 reads the received image data corresponding to the identification information and performs facsimile transmission.
