PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily recognize the existence of a portable information terminal. SOLUTION: The portable information terminal, having a communication function, comprises a balloon mounted in a case; a radio communication part 112 for performing communication with an outer part; a balloon operating device 130 to be operated to fill the balloon with air; and control means (100, 120) for performing control to drive the balloon operating device, based on a command signal or indication data which is received by the radio communication part 112 to indicate the filling of the balloon with air.
