PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separation mechanism for blow-by gas of a racing boat outboard engine for effectively separating a gas part and an oil part in the blow-by gas with an extremely simple construction and for inhibiting the oil part from being discharged outside the engine. SOLUTION: The oil separation mechanism for the blow-by gas of the racing boat outboard engine comprises a breather chamber formed at a position outside a cylinder head and adjacent to a timing gear chamber, a timing gear provided on a cam shaft through a timing gear mounting flange in the timing gear chamber, an oil separator provided in the timing gear chamber, a breather pipe connected to the oil separator in the breather chamber and a breather cap provided integrally with the breather chamber.
