PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for the subject earthquake-resistant connector to absorb the shocks of earthquakes, prevent damages to connected components made of wood or the like or the break of fixing means like screws, etc. used for them and maintain the coupling strength of connected components by the fixing means after absorbing the shocks. SOLUTION: This is an earthquake-resistant connector 20 used when a wooden screw 18 is applied to connect a column 11 with a brace box 14 by penetrating both of them. The connector consists of a top surface 23 and extensions 24 extending from the side ends of the top surface 23. The connector has a shock absorbing metal component 21 to be deformed or broken after absorbing shocks, and an elastic holder component 22 located within the shock absorbing metal component 21. When the column and the brace box are coupled together with the wooden screw, it penetrates the top surface and the holder component of the shock absorbing component, and the extensions from the shock absorbing component come into contact with the brace box 14.
