PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelling agent preparation for medical use giving a medical gel having high softness, suppressed foreign material sensation to the living body and improved transparency and provide a medical gel produced by using the gelling agent preparation and method for producing the gel. SOLUTION: The gelling agent preparation contains 0.5-10.7 mass% thickening polysaccharide (based on total amount), 0.1-2.0 mass% phosphate, 0-5.0 mass% perfume and 78.0-95.4 mass% sugars.
