PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting facility capable of sorting sorted articles transferred by a single upstream transferring device into a plurality of downstream transferring devices at high speed without slide contact. SOLUTION: A sorting device 20 sorting sorted articles 1 in a lateral direction B is installed between an upward transferring device 10 and downstream transferring devices 70A, 70B. The sorting device 20 comprises a mobile element 24 movable in a lateral direction relative to a machine frame 21, a drive part 30 moving the mobile element forward and backward in the lateral direction, and a conveyor part 31 installed to the mobile element. The conveyor part can freely receive the sorted articles from the upstream transferring device at any moving posture to a lateral direction, and can freely transfer the received sorted articles to a target downstream transferring device. The sorted articles transferred by the upstream transferring device can be sorted to a plurality of downstream transferring devices without slide contact, deterioration of the posture, or damages at high speed (high capability), so that the entire facility can be made compact.
