PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling springback of a press-formed product, by which high dimensional accuracy is secured for the press-formed product by suppressing the springback without modifying a metal mold and without requiring a trial press. SOLUTION: A metal plate stock 1 is made into a pre-shape stock 3 by previously giving an uneven micro shape 2 to the stock 1. A residual stress in a press-formed product 4 is adjusted by crushing the uneven micro shape 2 when applying the press-forming to the pre-shaped stock 3, so that the springback of the press-formed product 4 is controlled. Further, the micro shape 2 is made embossment-shaped, polygonal-pyramid-shaped, cross-shaped, or star-shaped; concaves and convexes are alternately repeated in lateral and/or longitudinal directions, otherwise in slanting directions.
